insurance company dealings..

anyone have any jerk off insurance salespeople they have dealt with?

My parents have had the same broker for over 20 years. My mom uses the same broker for her work (massive building).

This jerkoff wanted a lot for insurance when I got my own first car.

He wasn't willing to check what would happen if i was primary on the minivan and my dad on the 240sx.

I went with another company that gave me a better deal right off the bat.

He made me sign something that said I would not be driving my parents' car (same family, same house, difference insurance companies has some issues)

I didn't drive for a year because I couldn't afford insurance after. Stupid university!

When I got my civic, this guy wanted a lot, I checked other places they were again cheaper. I wanted to be able to drive my parents' car if the need arose.

He said "maybe you should go with the company you dropped me for the first time"

A few comments about 20 years business and my mom's work didn't do anything but piss him off.

I got my dad to yell at the b1tch.

from $3500, it was reduced to $2100 (paid in 3 months full for the year)

Now I pay $1400 year.

This is without collision.

:)

You can never win with insurance companies  Most brokers are as*holes when i call. They ask me, "what are you paying now?" i say 560 a month, they reply with "thats a steal stay with that company" I wanna go over and kick the guy in the ass :fight: Now i got insurance for 420

that's crazy man... $5K a year?

check how much it would be if you paid in full a year in advance.

If I had gone monthly, it would have been $2700, but paying in the first three months, it was reduced to $2100.

You don't have to tell them how much you pay currently. "I don't know. My mom pays, I'm getting quotes."

The government regulates that you need to go with an insurance company, but does not regulate the insurance companies themselves.

I guess they allocate a percentage of profits to gov't donations.

Holy Crap man....that's alot. What did you do to deserve that?

Mine's not bad. but my record is clean. I pay about $230 monthly. paying it all in one sum is not do-able for me so I guess I'm stuck at that rate.

When i first started driving with my own policy it was $150 a month. Now (3-4 years later), i am paying $230 with a clean record. whats the deal with that. i agree, insurance is the biggest rip off.
