You'll get nothing for missing school.
For missing work, you can get 80% of your prior net earning BUT, they do not have to pay you for the first week you are off work.
Call your insurance company to apply for Accident Benefits. You're supposed to do this within 7 days of the crash. They'll send you an application. You have 30 days from the date of crash to return it.

Maybe so, but under Ontario's no-fault auto insurance regime, they're virtually useless for auto crash damage lawsuits unless you've suffered catastrophic and permanent injury. Catastrophic means amputation, loss of an eye or better yet two, serious and permanent facial disfigurement, etc. Being in a coma helps too.
But for a simply broken limb or sore neck, there's no point. The Insurance Acty makes it almost impossible to sue for minor injuries and even if you do manage to win something, there's an automatic $30,000 deductible that comes right off the top of anything you might win.
