Insurance Agreements and Clauses

Hi I was wondernig if I did some mods on my car like adding a lip skirts and all how it would impact insurance, like do u have to claim it or tell them about ur changes and if by not dig so and u et into an accident how does that impact your coverage etc?

why not just ask your insurance company about that? that way you know what they stand for...

I asked statefarm about some mods and they said pretty much as long as its cosmetic only and bolted to the car, they will cover it so long as receipts are provided and they don't mind. but I worded it carefully.

as in, my stock suspension is broken and needs to be replaced, will you cover it. i'm not lowering my car. They asked if it was stiffer then stock, I said i'm sure it is, but i don't know. they said yup so long as not lowered. My receipt will say

"Buddy Club suspension for Acura 1.6EL" = Buddy Club Racing-Spec coilovers, haha.
