Insurance advice

Ok guys after reading through a couple of the recent parent/insurance threads im not sure whats right or wrong. So here is what i need advice on.

Right now i drive my moms 1998 EK coupe, its in her name and im put down I believe as secondary or occasional driver and she is primary. Now i have 1 at fault accident on my record from like 2 years ago.

So the plan is that im gonna buy an 92 civic hatch dx and it will be in my name. I want to put the EK on minimal insurance (theft and fire) for storage over the winter. Also i am going to be transferring the plates from the EK to the eg hatch so the car in storage will be unplated.

First question is will i have problems with insurance because the car will be unplated? Second would I be able to put my mom down as the primary for the eg hatch and me as secondary?

Any other advice on stuff i cant think to ask would be welcomed.

i don't think so, especially consdering that if you have two cars you have to have two different primarys... but because of the fact that one is on fire and theft then maybe you'll be in luck...

yeah im hoping that by putting the one car under fire and theft or whatever is recommended when storing a car i will be able to put my mom under primary on the 92.
