Ya, Toronto insurance will kill you.

Got any relatives living far up north? Change your address to theirs and that will solve your problem. But to do it legally, you must also change your driver license address as well. Cause it is illegal to have your insurance registered at one address, while your DL says another.

when I moved to windsor my insurance went down 200bones a year...woo hoo!

Nova_Dust 05-Feb-2004 11:59 PM

200 bucks a year? Hell I would just kill for 200 a month bro!

StewPiddass 08-Feb-2004 02:59 AM

OMG! I'm so glad I'm old (not that I've ever paid that much) I pay about $140 a month for my '93 Civic... and my '01 Protegé GT... TOTAL!!!

Nova_Dust 08-Feb-2004 07:11 PM

How old are you?

StewPiddass 08-Feb-2004 07:45 PM

I'm 29 now but I was paying this much on an '00 CR-V and my EG 4 years ago...

Nova_Dust 08-Feb-2004 11:38 PM

God I feel so freaking ashamed that I am paying 450 and being the same age LOL

I gotta move further up north... lol

North York has the highest insurance rates. :banghead: :banghead: :(

imported_aznTrance 19-Feb-2004 07:04 AM

can you guys give me a quote on a potential situation.

- 20yrs
- g2 (but getting my g in the summer)
- 1 ticket for speeding 15km/h over limit (the cop said there's no demerit points decducted for speeding 15km/h or under, btw this was in markham)
- marks above 75% (apparently state farm has lower rates for high marks)

and most importantly, ill most likely have a 4th gen civic hatch. could end up being a crx tho.

thanks!!!

imported_gatherer 19-Feb-2004 07:13 AM

this board doesn't do "quoting" but if get a quote from some places (I do not recommend state farm...) then we can tell you whether it's a good deal or not....

Cynikal.Mindset 19-Feb-2004 07:16 AM

www.insurancehotline.com

get ur quotes there buddy!

imported_aznTrance 19-Feb-2004 07:19 AM

crap those were fast responses... actually i wasn't really hoping for an accurate quote... but just what do you guys think ill end up paying under those circumstances?

thanks guys!

imported_gatherer 19-Feb-2004 08:04 AM

it's insurance be prepared to bend over and take it up the ass.... then when thats down they'll bend you over some more... every see cowboy's in old movies??? see how they walk like they have a pickle up their ass? well hey your going to enjoy walking like that after insurance companies are done with you :p
