ed and i are both with TD Meloche Monnex, but they only do group insurance like for UofT Alumni and professionals. we're both UofT Alumni.

ed pays 120/month for th Fit
i pay 101/month for the civic

we both get multiple vehicle discount since ed's dad is with TD MM as well and so is my mom b/c they're both professionals.

this is awesome b/c when we live together we'll still get the multi vehichle discount. UofT Alumni FTW.

my bro is with them too and he's had to make several claims including his stolen civic...and they've been really on top of things and very generous. this is important when considering ins cos b/c some of them take a really long time to process claims and such and are particularly difficult to deal with when making claims even not-at-fault claims (ed had this experience with PC i believe).

insurance is a scam to be honest with u...so is when u buy a vehicle but put it in ur sisters name to save money...then when she "gives" u the car for $0 and u still have to pay for everything such as safety, etest, new plates, all the paper work at the DMV. Now that is a scam

wow there's some crazy rates here... I pay 160/month for my '06 TSX with FULL FULL coverage, ... if I still had my civic I'd be paying around 110/month give or take for the same amt of coverage. Can't wait for the rates to drop next yr when I hit 25... w00t!!

Some of you guys need to shop around a bit more I think... what do you guys have your deductibles set at?
