Everyones rates went up ...not just yours ..... they can raise rates up to a limit if they wish, and obviously they did ..... There not out to "screw you", if you actually took the time to ask your broker or agent why they went up they would probably be able to expalin it to you ....

If you can't reward a loyal perfect customer by giving him a break its time to move companies..

yes rates should go down or at least remain the same for loyal customers....however in the insurance world I keep seeing this picture in my head of a big cooperation between insurance companies so you get screwed anyways.....

If you do that, I guarantee your rate will go up .... starting at a new company, they will most definitly raise the rate higher - Insurance Companies do not make money on auto inusrance - Because its law in Ontario they have to offer it to everyone, but they usually end up loosing 2-4 million a year on auto insurance

they lose money because there are too many people who shouldn't have a G class out there causing accidents.... if tehre were no accidents then insurance companies would be raking it in ... maybe tighten up the testing process... or have tests conducted of drivers every 5 years to weed out the bad ones and stop bad habits from forming

Thats true gatherer, but its also insurance fraud..... when people claim they always make sure they claim enough to have their deductible covered or they inflate the claim for personal reward - We paid out close to $2 million last year on insurane fraud, and guess who ends up paying for it .......

well I remember when my car got hit ....it was a hit and run incident and my company told me I'd have to pay the deductable ... well the frame wasn't bent and the quote was 1017 and my deductable was 1000 so I did the work myself and saved having to pay 1000 for it ...however my insurance company needed pictures to prove it was fixed

That sounds about right...... the need the pics to prove its fixed so you don't make another claim 6 months down the road for the same damage only this time you have the info of the other party involved

so you didnt get charged for not signalling?

show up in court with the insurance card and ownership, and you have a 98% chance that the charge would be withdrawn
