ok so im shopping around for my first car im turning 17 soon and im getting my g2 on the day and before i get the car i wanna have everything planned out like all the mods before the car so i decided to tell my dad to call his insurance and to ask a couple of prices since he has a realy good friend working on the inside and as we are calling i start asking a couple of questions and i asked about my dad being 1st driver and me as ocasional.
could any one explain to me how i could make my insurance lower without the beginers course because i heard that doesnt do anything to insurance any more and if that thing with my dad was b.s..
any help would be apreciated and the car im thinking bout getting would be a 1997 honda civic lx (4 door)

It is cheaper if you have the driving school certificate regardless if you are under your own name or your dads name.
Its gonna be cheaper if you go under your dads name and you as occasional driver. Other than that, there aren't too many ways how to make it any cheaper.
