well sorry to hear no one will insure you though lessoned learned I guess eh? (sorry just kidding)

Have you spoke to your parents about them helping you out a little? Maybe going under them?
If I went under my parents, I'd have to pay THEIR rate and mine together. They only way they'd help me out is by letting their name go on the paper work. But my folks have their three vehicles insured through dominion of canada. Can they insure another car with a different company? I figured they wouldn't be allowed to?

We tried this a few years back with a third vehicle we had that we considered keeping when we got my moms new (at the time) car. It was a 1989 Oldsmobile Sierra. 250xxxkms. They wouldn't let it stay under my mom or dad because my dad had our van under his name and my mom had her car. It HAD to go under one of us three boys (Me or my two older brothers). Retarded it seems to me...

As for kingsway, I talked to my broker for my bike insurance, they work through Jevco and Kingsway. They were the ones who quoted me 7 grand. I assume it was through kingsway, but I guess I can call them directly and see if they'll do any better.

I'll talk to my folks later and see if there's anyway they'd be willing to put it under their name with a different company.. Any other advice is very welcome. And to those who keep saying don't get in accidents....screw off...neither one was my fault... like I said before, don't get me started on them....

Okay, I'm bumping this thread back to the top for some help. Car can't go under parents name, I have to be primary. So I need to know what insurance companies will insure a high risk driver. I know kingsway will. Any others?

Also, is there any way I can make this cheaper for myself? Like have some policy where if I'm in an at-fault accident, I pay for the damages, but if I'm not at fault, then the insurance company pays? Is there such a thing? Lower or raise deductables? Any advice from anyone who knows insurance inside and out?

Thanks..

I can't remember what it's called, but you can get insurance where you cover the damages to your car and the ins. company covers the other driver. If you have to go high risk I think there are only a few. I think I used to be with kingsway, after my record was clear I switched to state farm and my rates went way down.

TD gave me a great rate.... 19years old driving a civic in woodbridge..... apperently TD gives young drivers a break....

I remember when i went for a quote (before i got my civic) for a Kia Rio5.... it was the difference of 380/mo to 511 between td and state farm.....

give td a shot

Already tried TD. They wont insure me because of the accidents. Kingsway is over 8 grand a year for me....
My only hope is getting a discount through the company my parents are with. Going on their policy, but as primary driver still. My absolute limit is 5 grand a year. My bike insurance plus car insurance now is about 400 a month. That's almost 5000 a year. I don't mind selling the bike and going off my parents vehicles for insurance to have my own. But I don't think it'll drop 3 grand.
As much as I love civics and would love my own car, it looks like this isn't happening anytime soon for me...

When I called the company who my bikes with, they have my record. The car I got quoted on was a STOCK 95-00 honda civic. They said 6900 for a four door, 7100 for a two door. Ridiculous...

My info is:
20yr old male
Scarborough (Toronto)
GM2 (License since the DAY I turned 16)
1 Minor speeding ticket
2 at fault accidents (don't get me started, I wasn't at fault for EITHER!)
1 year accident/claim free, 2 and a half years ticket free

When I spoke to my broker, she gave me the quote and I said, "Damn, I guess I'll have to wait till my record is clean" She said it doesn't make much difference. Gave me a quote WITHOUT the two accidents and it was $500 cheaper.... **** my life...

Any advice?
Not True about statefarm.
Bikes, statefarm needs 5 years driving experience.
Cars doesnt matter how long you have been driving.

That quote is wrong as well.
Its five years driving experience since your g1. Not five years of G driving experience.
