Insurance??

Hey y'all

I wanted to buy a 94-99 2 door integra as my summer car but right now I have a civic that I want to use as a winter beater but right now I'm only 19 and insurance is killing me I have a clean record but I wanted to know what was best insuring the integra AND civic or should I just cancel and renew my insurance seasonly

Btw is $250 a month for a 95 4 door civic lx expensive seeing as how I'm under my moms insurance I got some quotes also and its 360 on my own just for the civic

you need to suspend the insurance on which car you are not using. Canceling and renewing is to much hassel. I do the summer and winter car thing i think it cost me on $60 for the term the car is suspended. Unless the car is suspeneded for at least 30days you have to back pay. Say you only suspend the insurance for 25 days then reactivate it you have to back pay the 25 days.

so if i suspend the insurance it HAS to be more than 30 days or do you mean i have to unsuspend the insurance after 30 days or i have to back pay

how much is back pay?

when i got my car, i wanted to go under my mom's name yet my brother had his car registered that way, so my brother was getting a new car anyways and his old car got sold and so we just transferred insurance over to my civic. you can just call them and tell them that you want to transfer insurance and you will be ready to go in 5mins. then they will send you new slips.
btw im turning 19 in july and i pay 170$/month only got liability on a 93 si coupe. im with TD and got clean record.

so are you on your own or under your moms? and woow thats pretty good but im still sorta unclear...

when you transfer over the insurance are you paying anything for
a) transferring it
b) the civic

or is the civic completely uninsured and illegal to drive?

i called and transfered the insurance from my brothers civic which was owned by my mom over to my civic which is owned by my mom. i called and told them that my mom is getting another civic and that the other one is getting sold. so they just changed the info and i was good to go. they took the vin number/year/make/model. so i assume you just want insurance on that car just to get it home? so you can call and tell them that the integra is gonna be ur driver and civic is getting parked, then when u get it registered and what not call and say your civic is the dd and integra is parked. summer comes transfer over again. im almoust 100% that there is no transfer fee's again may be different with different insurance companies.

and im paying 170 as occasional driver.

PS B. when you transfer insurance on integra the civic can NOT be driver on the street since it has no valid insurance.
