improper service - officer signature on ticket
I got a ticket tonight for obstructed view of license plates, ****, been meaning to take those off and fail to stop - amber light, which is crap cause it turned when I was already about to go through it.
Anyways, if I remember right from police foundations, the officer must actually sign the ticket in the box I circled in black, otherwise its considered improper service. He must sign the white copy, then flip it up and actually sign your ticket. Then both signatures show up on the pink court copy which shows the ticket was given properly.

thanks, I thought he had to actually sign the ticket he's giving you, but meh. Looks like i'm off to court on this one. I'm hoping if I plead guilty on the obstruct plate, they will drop this BS light ticket, but I doubt it.

^^^ yes thanks for that observation. Save time, he took 30 minutes, saving time was the last thing on his mind. I swear he ordered a pizza and watched a video of prison break before returning with my tickets and documents

Cops don't know the HTA off the top of their heads. They have to be sure that they get the proper ref for the ticket. If what you said was correct,(obstructed plate) then why is the ticket for failure to stop at an Amber light? Amber light
