Unhappy I need a front passenger door...

I just got into a car accident... and my right side doors are all crushed in. If you were at the meet on Wednesday, then you probably saw it... I went to 138 Auto Repair Center and they quoted a price of $1900 to fix everything... but if I get the doors myself, then to pull out the frame would be $300-400... And I called a couple of auto wreckers, and they said the door would be about $300-350, and also my colour, white. If anyone can find a place or have a door that could possibly beat this price, please contact me.

Also, my rear right door is dented at the corner, if anyone knows how to knock the dent back out, please contact me asap.

hey, that was a bit of a heart breaker there on Wed. Tough luck..

You were there for a while too.

The cops decide who was a fault?

As for your doors you ever consider going to the junkyard and pulling the doors yourself?

Might be cheaper.

Have someone reputable pull the frame... no insurance

Echien is right.

Finding doors hould be easy, call around the different scrap yards
Putting on the doors shouldn't be that difficult.

Remember to take the door locks your existing door so your key still works.

Where abouts are you located?

yah........i called like 30 scrap yards and only 1 had a white door for my car
it was lots of work, damn
but it cost $350 just for the front
i got another that cost $200 for the right rear door
but the body shop guy said that my rear door is repairable
anyways, i need a shop that can do the job for cheap

the cheapest price that i found is 138 collision center close to pacific mall
they said if i find the door, they can pull the frame back out for me for 300-400 dollars.

what do you guys think of this price?
oh yah, my car is still drivable, i've already tested it and it FINE YAH!

can anyone recommend me a shop???

thanks a lot guys, and also , any advice???

Do you want to bring the car back to show room quality?

Because if you do, it's going to cost you.
Have you looked into the cost of getting any colour door and getting painted?

Even if you find a white door, it might not match your car anyway. Just because it started as the same colour dosen't mean it's the same now.

i know what you mean, thats why i'm saving up for a paint job
i was planning to repaint my car anyways next summer because i've noticed some rust
so it doesn't really matter if the white on the door doesn't really match my car
its a lot better than having soming like a green door right?
the white door will cost me $350
and the frame work will cost me about 300-400
the other minor stuff i can save up to fix later
i just want my car back on the road asap

Hmm, I don't know, if a different colour door is going to save you $100 bucks are you willing to live with it?

Besides if you're going to repaint the thing eventually anyway what does it matter?

I have a feeling the more specific the part you want the high the cost will be especially if you're dealing with scrapyards.

I'd go with what JSKid said, go to somewhere reputable to get the fram pulled, you don't want to cheap out on that.

Then go to the junk yard , you know the one by the Zoo, and go and take the door of some car and put it on yourself.

I'd go when there's some special deal like "1 hour to pull anything you can for $200 bucks"

That's probably what I would do.

yeah........
there is a 45 dollar day coming up on sept 10, and 11
at standard auto wrecker
i was planning to go there and take a look at what they have this sunday
i might ripe out an si bumper as welll
anyways, they white door is pretty cheap already cuz a lot of places quote me $400 just for a door that not even my color

you know that the white will look better (even if its the wrong color) than a door that totally contrast my whole car right....
hahah.....
anyways, i'm still looking around

I think mis-coloured panels look bad ***, it kinda tells me this dude is doing work on his own car and he's smart about it.

But thats just me.
