It sucks to be you, but you and your father have only yourselves to blame.

Aren't you a little quick to jump the gun? You are ASSUMING that just because it's in his name he drives it the most. Maybe he just bought it but his dad drives it more often than him, that's why he wanted him to be primary.

His dad told the broker that it was under his son's (the OP's) name, the broker should not have set up the policy with the dad as primary if that was against the guidelines of the company. It's really not the OP's fault...

Oh come on, we all know the game that gets played with this sort of thing. Also, nowhere in the OP's original post does he claim that his father is in fact the usual driver of the car. In his post he continually refers to the car as "MY" car, and not his father's car. The game seems clear enough to me.

The agent may have screwed up, but that doesn't mean that the OP and his father didn't ALSO screw up by misrepresenting who the actual primary driver of the car was. Both can be at fault here, but the OP's misrepresentation is grounds for claims refusal and policy cancellation.

You know what your problem is dude? Your taking advice from all these people who have heard stuff from other people who have heard stuff from other people (very similiar to the game broken telephone)...in any case you need some proper legal advice. I know somebody who can help you out if you're interested. Also, he doesn't charge any upfront cash either (free consultation). In any case, if you want PM me and I'll link you his number.
