Do you have any tickets? That's a crazy amount, although your age and the fact that the car is brand new have something to do with it. Definitely shop around, or get a broker to find you a better rate if there are any.

Good luck.

I dunno if you can even get insurance cheaper considering your age and you drive a brand new car. You might wanna trade your car in for an older one, like an EG.

I'm very surprised it did that considering 25+ is the last age bracket that changes anything in your insurance portfolio.

Did you have some tickets worth points that recently came off your insurance or something? Maybe that is what affected it.

Regards,
OK

well i turned 25 not too long after my insurance renewed... so when I called the insurance company to get it reduced they told my i had to wait for my next renewal for the drop in rates to take effect...which happened a month before my 26th birthday.

as for tickets... i've had one that I got on my 25th b-day for going 60 in a 50 no points

remember it also matters what city you are in if you live in toronto it's more expensive due to more traffic than if you live in king city or sudbury.

Finally someone in the same boat with me. I'm 20, I have had my G for a few months, 1 Speeding ticket and a few minor tickets. I pay 6200 a year. it actually went down this year. Last year I was paying 6700 a year. Oh ya and I'm the primary driver on my 2000 SiR
