hey guys hid question

i am thinking of getting hids but i am not sure i heard some cops give you tickets and give you a hard time for the hids
is this true???

Why would they, they are legal, BMW's, mercedes have them why not us??? I have 6k and drove beside a cop, never even looked my way

they wont give you problems unless you give them a reason to

if they are propery aimed and you drive normal you will never have any problems

if you drive like a typical tcc ricer then they will hassle you about anything they can

yea unless you live in newmarket or bradford and the cops have **** all 2 do but pick on rice then u wil be fine

Thats funny eh i had my ek with a 90hp motor boddy kit wing rims lowered and i got pulled over almost every day and hastled and now i sold it and baught an ef with a teg motor that goes like **** has a loud mufler but no shiny tip and looks like **** right now

i have been pulled over a whole 1 time because a cop thaught i wouldent have insurance he told me i dident signal and he never even ran my lisence just ipened up my wallet and he said that ok thanks have a nice day


wtf eh yea no difference in my eyes


i just put HID on my ef projector and no cops have ****ed me yet and i live in **** cop town and they are bright

i have 4300K and live in the downtown core...cops don't even look at me , seems like i ain't even there!

because bmw's and mercedes have headlights that are specifically made to be used with hid headlights unlike our plastic headlights with no shields etc....


that being said hid is a mod and like any mod performed on a car its up to the police to issue you a ticket or not and its up to the insurance to keep you on their policy or not.

If cars that are lowered need to have a clear tire clearance, then cars that have HID (aftermarket) should be properly aimmed.

Those who have aftermarket HID and are firing light beams everywhere should be fined. Plain and simple.

aslong as they don't look blue durin the day your fine, just pull out your daylight running fuse, a buddy of mine got a ticket for his lights bein blue, in his vdub

Never had a problem with my HIDs but I have changed the headlights to projectors.
