ok then go in in person but dress in a suit and tie ... drive in with the car but with the seat in the full upright position and without a "lean" both hands on the wheel you never know who's watching. be polite and respecting and I'm sure you'll get the quote your looking for.

ask insurance man,

I'm sure he can say something witty about how its good for the greater good of all drivers on the road.

That theres nothing wrong with the insurance companies making a few bucks.

OR

That the little guy who is getting screwed should stop complaining and that if he wants to drive thats the price.

I'm not sure... I'm just not clever enough to make something evil sound legitimate.

Just wait for his response, he's always willing to throw his 2-bits in when it comes to insurance companies.

Afterall, insurance companies are nice and friendly and everyone loves them.... especially insurance man!

For those guys that are young, don't expect to be able to afford a really nice brand new car. Sure you can afford to purchase the car, but can you pay the insuranec?? You're going to have to buy an older car until insurance prices are reasonable. Get something 4 door and that's not sporty, otherwise you'll be wasting $5000+ a year.

Think about it, it's such a waste of money.

he has a 93 dx, we're not talking about a corvette here.

$5000 a year for a dx for guy with clean record is highway robbery.

JSK makes a very strong point. 106 hp, hatchback... prolly doesn't even have power steering. I'd hardly call him Speed Racer.

Wonder how much the same guy would pay for a comprable Toyota or Hyundai vehicle.... say a 93 Tercel or a 95 Accent?

Or I could cry and scream about my rates and my 5 speeding tickets and how all the insurance companies are quoting me thousands of dollars to insure my heavily modified racecar and that anything over $5 a month is too much for insurance

OR

I could actually educate myself and learn how the system works like the people who pay a fair premium for coverage, get competitve quotes and pay a fair amount for premiums ...

and ya, Insurance companies should make zero money and pay out claims without asking questions ... cause there a non profit organization right?

Ignorance is bliss... and apparently contagious ...
