#7
id also just slap on plates from another car and just drive it
if u get booked, just say sorry and u thought u'd get away with it and pay whatever the fine is
or if u dont wanna take a risk then get it towed

driving without insurance is a 5000 MINIMUM fine for a first offense. and yes I didn't use too many zeros. not to metion the charges you'd get hit with for driving without proper plates and driving an unregistered vehicle. They would tow your car (with the plates on it that are for a different vehicle and now you have 1 missing car and the second car has no plates on it. so your completely screwed..
by the way this isn't the same as a failure to surender insurance card ticket. (which is only 110 I think) because they can still check to see that you have insurance on the car.
as for one day insurance forget it.
here's a secert do you own a car with insurance on it already? I was told by my insurance company that if I bought another car they would automatically cover it for 10 days after the purchase. of course this would allow me to get a 10 day permit on it and take it home fix it up get it certified and e-tested then place it on my insurance and get regular plates for it.
I hope this helps. remember check with your insurance company to make sure before you go onto the streets.

Someone else aleady said it.
No insurance = $5,000 to $25,000 fine for first offence. The 10-day permit is not insurance or a permit to drive without insurance.
Driving with plates belonging to another car - more fines.
On top of the $5,000 minimum fine, when you do go to get insurance, that drive without insurance is considered a serious offence that carries the same insurance surcharges as an impaired driving conviction. You'll pay that surcharge for 5 to 7 years depending on company.
Think you won't get caught? Yeah, sure - everyone who gets caught thought that too.

you need insurance to get a 10day, you can jsut give them any number they dont check, but you don't wanna get caught and have that hefty fine.... driving without or with different plates, not a good idea, but if your gonna do it, the end of the month isnt the best time....
