Help--got a big ticket!
My first one...
I was on Allen Road tonight, around 1am.. I was passing a slow poke, and was caught doing 117km/h on the 80km/h zone. It's going to cost me $227 and 4 points!
I don't mind the $227, but I really can't afford the points (turning 25 in less than a week)... anyway I can fight it?
I am thinking about two things... either one of those traffic ticket specialists (Pointts, Ex-Coppers, etc) or pleading guilty with an explanation. Any suggestions or comments?

you should absolutely fight it, so taht way if anything they can reduce the speed. Like if they drop it down to 3 points at least its a minor not a major. i'm not sure, but my friend got caught speeding and it was for 3 demerit points it was suppose to be 4 but they got it reduced and the insurance did not go up because they let his first ticket go. It might be different for other insurance but you should fight it.
you never know what could happen, no show? -> you win. or they will get it reduced.

basically you can get the same result without them, however they have the experience etc. and know all the loopholes in the H.T.A to get you out of a charge. I think most of them guarantee some kind of reduction or their services are free
its your call, but I think you will be fine without them if its your first infraction (plead guilty w/exp and be well mannered)
