this happened to a friend of mine. he was following flow of traffic, only going over 10-15 mph, and the cop wrote him up for 20mph over. sounds all too sleezy to me. picking on plates that are from out of country means they'll be less likely to show up in court to fight the ticket.

Not just down there. We're quite disliked, as drivers, nationwide. Execept for Quebec, where they're drivers are even worse. haha

Can you please introduce me to the cop who lets you go over 20 and not care? Maybe he'll sell me some drugs too.

401 between dvp and morningside...

It is often I see traffic moving at 120 with a cop in the middle of all that traffic. I think they are just waiting for that 1 person to drive faster then the rest.

Explanation i put was that i was traveling with traffic and my speedometer lacks having mph, so i was unaware of the speed i was traveling.

Actually, there was an article I read back a year ago from the Toronto Star. It was from a reporter who was interviewing an undercover officer who travels the 401 for speeders. I remember clearly that he said, police officers won't ticket you for going 20 over on the highway unless you are switching lanes and showing that you're in a rush or careless. I think this depends on the cop though because I got a ticket for going 20 over. I remember an OPP officer telling me during the winter that passed, they don't pull over people who speed during heavy snowy days because it's almost as dangerous having someone pull over to the side. I don't know just a side note that I found ironical.

keep in mind that it all depends on the time also and if its a local police or opp.

They do have quotas to meet.
