Angry Got a Damn Ticket Today!

Today, I came to an intersection and made a right-hand turn.

A cop facing the other way spun around and pulled me over.

I got a ticket for FAIL TO STOP - RED LIGHT

:fustrated :fustrated :fustrated

We all do it occasionally.

Most cops have better things to do.

This one didn't.

You were probably thinking, out of all the tickets you could've got... a failure to stop... not worth it.

Got one myself a few years ago, while trying to keep up & follow a buddy somewhere.

I wasn't too impressed either.

my dad fought many of those ones

the best one was at like 3am and no one was on the roads
he came to a stoplight and saw that no one was coming the other way so he stopped and then went
he got a ticket for running a red
took it to court and told the judge that
what is the point of waiting around for 3 or 5 mins when there was no one there in the first place and no one coming at all
judge said good point
charge dropped

Did the stop sign you ran have a white border around it?

Little story......

There was an intersection in this small town that only had a 4 way stop sign. Hardly nobody stoped there. So one day, a concerned home owner in the area called to police to complain about this "no stopping" problem at this intersection.

The next day, a police officer was sent to check it out. He had barely parked his car when he noticed a car comming up to the stop sign. The car slowed down a bit.....driver looked all ways....and kept going.

The police officer couldn't believe his eyes. This guy had done it right in front of him as if he did care. So the cop went after him.

The cop pulled over the offending driver and this is what was said....

Cop....."Did you know that you didn't stop back there at that stop sign?"

Driver...."yes I did"

Cop....."No you didn't"

Driver...."yes I did."

Cop......."no you didn't.....you just slowed down and looked.....and then kept going. You didn't stop."

Driver......"slowed down....stoped.....same thing."

The cop was kinda shocked by this drivers attitude about breaking the law......then he said....

Cop....."Let me ask you something......if I took my batton and stated to hit you over the head with it, would you want me to slow down, or stop?"
