No I'm not a cop, I'm an engineer. I'm just commenting on the completely garbage way that he estimated your speed. He can't definitively say that you were going that speed since he didn't individually measure your car.

on the other hand you cant say that u werent doin that speed cuz you werent lookin at the speedo the whole time and by the time you did you already were off the gas and applying the brakes no doubt

its a case of cop vs driver and heresay

you might get it reduced but as far as insurance is concerned a $40, 10 over ticket counts for as much as a 100 over ticket... if its your only ticket you might be ok... but now a days who can tell

Yeah it is cop vs. driver but if you can take the facts and use them to make him look incompetent, not a far stretch from the story so far, then the cop doesn't always win.
