i read that at work the other day, i live in hamilton and regularly read the paper at work, especially when i was on nights, honestly, i never really heard of ne car fires of the last year or so, which goes to show how much they are doing about the problem, nothing is made public really they ahve next to 0 people for investigating fires, unless its over half a mill they dont even look at it, its like a scammers dream, burn ur car get mad cash dont get caught...

if they are a main reason (car fires) for increasing insurance rates, then why is insurance cheaper in hamilton, then in lets say Burlington or Oakville?

as the article told us... just burn it late at night in an industrial area.... then you'll get a big (or perhaps small) paycheck from insurance... making all those large payments seem worthwhile

Insurance is very expensive in Hamilton, compared to both Burlington and Oakville. I have no clue why, but my insurance agent tells me it's because of break-in's.

Hamilton is #1 in Ontario for thefts and vandalism ... look at it this way, Hamilton is a city that is close to both the border and an Indian Reserve, and its the largest city in the area... more cars to pick from (not to mention there is a College and a University which both a parking lots full of cars) ...
