I was wondering what do you do if u get a ticket that u want to fight and you go to court but you can't recognize the cop or remember him? How do u know if he's there or not? What should u plead?

you have to state on the back of your ticket what you want to plead. what you plead depends on what the ticket is for. if it's fightable (which it usually is) then you should plead not guilty and get a trial date. if you plead not guilty you should be able to prove why you dont deserve the ticket you got. if you think you cant fight it then you can plead guilty with an explanation then hope that the judge will lower the charges/points, especially if it's your first offence.

if the cop doesnt show then the case will be thrown out. and dont worry, they arent going to bring in a different cop and have him pretend to be the guy who gave you the ticket. so there's need to worry about remembering him or anything like that.

always plead not guilty.......that way if he does not show .....
If you plead guilty w/an explaination.....the cop usually does not show and you still have to pay something (If it's a speeding ticket, the insurance will find out about it, even if you get it reduced to no points)
Better to plead not guilty and take a chance the cop does not show.
On the ticket is the cops bagde #. If it's not there..... Your off the hook.(that's what I was told). Just look for the matching bagde # that is on either side of his shirt(shoulders) when you go to court. Take to him nicely, and see what he can do for you........Not all Cops are Pr!cks.
