and calibration of the unit, but simple, your ****ed. sorry man, laser is a beam that they aim at headlight or license plate (plate is best cause of flat surface) but it reflects the laser back to the unit. extremely accurate and they are making new ones with video tape too, so the tape can go to court (we'll see it in like 7 years or so, after us of course)

research online so you know how it works, but your ****ed unless the crown will plea it down to no points but full fine, or something. laser totally changed police radar and courts vs the old *** units.

some more info to add:

change your court date since the officer is scheduled to appear in court on the date they set

ask for the information of when the gun was last calibrated, etc under freedom of information act

ask for full disclosure in letter to crown attorney

here is a link thanks to clubel.ca

i know all this, cause i just got nailed at 33 over way the hell up north and i'm gonna fight it, mine was not laser though, just regular in car radar.

this may not help but when i was in court fighting a ticket there was a guy having a trial before me who had bin clocked by a radar gun. he had a lawyer but he was terrible. the trial went on for about 25 mins and the guy didn't really have a case but the judge let him off because the prosecutor nor the officer stated wut the function of a radar gun is which is to "accurately measure the speed of a moving motor vehicle" crazy the guy was obviously guilty and got off by a technicallity.
