That is pure BS. What a waste of time and money. I know more Mustangs and Camaros with NOS than Civics and how many of them are being pulled over?

can you get a ticket for having an intake or a filter with no heat shield???
and can you get a ticket for having no resonator??

They are Smog Patrol officers and have been around for a couple of years. They can pull over any vehicle they think is not using all the proper emission components. If you are running without a cat, egr etc. then they will give you a ticket. These tickets are not cheap!!! The only good thing about them is there's not that many of them. When i worked at the MOT last summer they came in and were driving around Durham for a week.

I heard from someone that a cold air intake is illegal, as far as i know this is not true, is it?
