Egged car
so i wake up this morning and my car was egged in the middle of the hood, I went to work and when i got off 2:30, i went for a wash to get it off but it ruined my paint... now i have a splatter mark on my hood.. i swear i might commit a murder when i find out who did this lol... i live in apartment and they are fixing the basement so everyone has to park on the street...does insurance cover me for that?

If you are covered from vandalism...it should
Also, try using scratch doctor or just bring the car to a detailer, I'm sure it can be buffed out |
it looks really bad tho..
|
Any detailing shop should be able to help you out with that mate
|
If you left it long enough, GOOD LUCK! egg does wonders to car paint

My car was egged in the summer... luckily it was at night and I washed it at night probably a few hours after it happened.
Not a good idea to go through insurance for that type of incident. Updates? |
nah.. I try not to look at my hood now lol..I figure getting it fix and living in a ghetto apartment just asking for more headache....Plus I don't want my insurance rate going up for some egg..

Meguiars Cleaner Wax, ultimate polish and a towel are your cheapest possible fixes. Chances are you will need a heavy cut polish and polishing pad to get it 100% again tho.

I agree with everyone else, Wax and Buff. There's a Buffer forsale at Canadian tire, 3 pads. Should do wonders! I use Mothers wax, but I'm not biased on waxs, yet. Make sure it's a wax, and not the Nu wax that isn't wax.
Vandels suck. Too bad for your luck. -B |

lol... i can just picture that phone call to insurance going down...
OP: 'yes, someone "egged" my car... and I want to file a claim for damage to the hood" INS: 'Sir...what kind of an egg are we talking about here that can cause damage to a steel hood?' OP: '... it was a dinosaur egg. I think a pterodactyl dropped it from the sky" |
i think its not a good idea and once it was happened to me also.

I never thought that it can be so much expensive.
