You'd get failure to produce a D.L. , depending on the cop, he could Taser you.
Just don't give them a reason to pull you over, drive the speed limit, don't act like a douche and you'll have no worries. Keep a photocopy of it in your glove box next time.
No idea at the ticket cost.

loll tazered hahaha
yeah just drive normally. also do not just drive at speed limit if everybody is driving a little faster because then you cause the police to wonder why...especialy if you look nervous. just drive like always...keep up with the flow unless the flow is going way too fast then dont but 5km/h+ just to keep it more normal.

ive got like 3 of those tickets in the last 2 years, its failure to surrender proof of insurance, drivers license, or ownership.
u get a ticket of like 250 bucks, then u gotta go to courts either early in the morning when the prosecutors are doing first come first serve appointments, or u gotta fill out a paper and they send u back in the mail an appointment paper then u gotta go at that time and if ur late u do the whole process over again, its sooooooooooooooooo wack.
and thats how it is in toronto and in york region atleast. The day i left for trinidad 3 weeks ago, i had t ogo in the morning and fight the fail to surrender insurance card ticket. i was driving a buddy's car for him cuzz he was drunk and i was sober and he thought he had tht **** on him so i got the ticket...and no matter how nice you are they'll give u a ticket..its like commission for them...easy commission.

A: It's all cops discretion.
I got the "Failure to provide Insurance Card" ticket. My ticket had expired, State farm, for months, never got me my card on time, they cop was trying make a quota, or win the easy bake oven for most tickets given out. Gave me my ticket AS i was still searching for my updated card. Then took off to chase a civic with a blown head light.
What a previous member was talking is called your " First appearance". I spoke not with the JP(Justice of the Peace) but with the crown. (People trying you) That's when you need all your facts, papers, and evidence in order to persent to this person. They will say yeh or neigh of you going to court. I had my nice letter from state farm saying they phukked up.
A Photo Copy of your drivers license is nothing. you may photocopy your Insurance, but that's all. 1. Your drivers license is Government issue, doesn't make sense to Photocopy that. 2. Same with Ownership(I'm not 100% sure about that). 3. Insurance is just a bunch of numbers they can look up/call about, so a photocopy is fine.
NOTE: A Cop has the power to call and check with your insurance company weither or not your card is up to date. Ie: expired card can be checked to see if it's up to date. However, think from the cops point of view, everyone trying that excuse would really prolong the 'transaction'.
