downtown parking rules... need help/advice
I've been parking @ a street downtown for a good 4 months now.
this street has one of those signs with a BIG ROUND GREEN CIRCLE AND A P INSIDE IT which said 1H 7am-11pm. It also has a NO PARKING SIGN which said 11pm-7am BY PERMIT ONLY.
I park in the DAY and everytime i park i religiously make sure that i don't stay there for more than an hour. so just last week I was surprised to see a parking ticket. I noticed that there were no white lines on my any of my tires. After checking my ticket, I found out that he gave me a ticket which said PARKING w/o A VALID PERMIT. so naturally I was like WTF?
my questions are:
1)do you need a permit to park on a 1H 7am-11pm street?
2)from my understanding a NO PARKING 11pm-7am BY PERMIT ONLY means --> you can park at that street from 11pm to 7am only if you have a permit. so why did the parking guy gave me ticket for not having a permit when i parked in the day?
thanks in advance
