Nope...never a ticket (actually I think it is quieter than my stock exhaust). Nothing but a win - win with the WS2. Its quiet and I got 50 more km/tank of gas. I kept the stock cat on and passed emissions with flying colours too. Happy Apexi customer here!

I did get pulled over at DKN 2 years ago for a look over, but I am a perfectionist, so you'll never find anything unsafe on my car. Actually mechanics make fun of me because I detect problems before they would consider it a problem.

it has nothing 2 do with desabels or anything ANY and i mean ANY mufler other than what honda made 4 that car is ilegal if the cop wants 2 give u a ticket because u got a generik brand mufler from crappy tire thats quieter then the stock one he can do that its bs i know i am in court 4 this same thing june 13th

its a loophole in the law and its bul**** if u get a stock mufler bent the end over so it points downhill if the cop is an ainal mother ****er he can give u a ticket 4 that 2 but i dont think he would win in court

the HTA states that any modification that aulters the sound or shape or anything from the factory installed mufler is ilegal

and if they put inpropper mufler its easier 2 fight but if they **** u with a hollywood mufler then u are kinda ****ed then

thats a streight pipe from the axel back with is about 90$ of the aftermarket axel backs it has 2 have baffles that u cant stick a stick in there and it go in

its all bul**** i never saw a cop pull over a ****ing mustang or a pickup truck

the guy across the streat has riced out a dodge truck and he has them 10ft 9'' stacks comeing up the inside of the bead and he never gets ****ed it sould like a big rig pulling in the driveway its soo loud

I would ask you to point out the section of the HTA that states this, but I won't. You see, the HTA says nothng of the sort.

The only requirement is that a muffler provide adequate exhaust noise control, nothing more, nothing less. It doesn't matter what shape the muffler is as long as it is acceptably quiet when in operation (cop's judgement is enough), and as long as it is securely mounted.

A muffler that is a little louder than stock won't cause you any issues with the cops, but a muffler that can be heard a block away even when under only light acceleration is unacceptable and would be consider an improper muffler.

The Civic Nation? Methinks thou doth overspeak oneself...

By Samuel Johnson, speaking on misplaced exhortations to patriotism
Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel.
Also:
From the HTA
Examination of vehicle

(2) Every police officer and every officer appointed for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this Act may require the driver of any motor vehicle or motor assisted bicycle to stop, move the vehicle to a safe location as directed by the police officer or officer and submit the vehicle, together with its equipment and any vehicle drawn by it, to the examinations and tests that the police officer or officer may consider expedient. 1999, c. 12, Sched. R, s. 14.
Being asked to rev the engine is a perfectly acceptable examination procedure to verify proper operation of a muffler.

The only time an intake should make any significant noise is when you're running wide-open throttle runs. If you're constantly doing those, I'd be more worried about the other tickets than can arise from wide-open-throttle runs. In normal driving though, you won't get bothered by cops for that.
