I'm switching companies this month and mine is actually going down. $165 now down to $135.

Both cars, with full coverage, the wife and I insured and my tenant's insurance will total $277 month.

mine went down by 30%.. I have no idea why.... I have minimum insurance and I had a clean record to begin with... at least from when I got my last original quote on my civic.

I also turned 25... don't know how much that helped.

ALl of them ****ing scammers, car accidents are down like 30 percent since the beggining of the 90s yet insurance has tripled, Ive had my license for 4 years, no accidents no tickets, no claims, never been pulled over and im paying 290 a month basic coverage on a 93 civic sedan, they want to charge me in the summer 300 a month to insure my CRX which i explained would only be driven once a week, 300 bucks to ensure a car for 150km/ month basic, noone else in my family can drive either of these cars either. This is ridiculous, people in the states pay 1/3 of what we pay, people in quebec pay 1/10. Expecting me to pay 300 dollars to drive a 15 year old car 150km, I hope who ever set that rate gets hit by a bus and dies, talk about legally being robbed.

$125 for the Civic and $240 for the Murano. This is after a 25% drop due a second car and move to Burlington from Toronto. Both of us have less than 5 years of total driving experience in Canada though....

I dont even know how you guys afford to pay $500 a month for insurance, plus buy a car, and pay for gas and general repairs. I was registered under my grandparents car from 18-21 just because I couldn't afford it. When I finally bought my civic I was paying $289 or something like that. Worked out to be around $3500 a year. Anyway, when I turned 23 mine dropped to $208 a month or $2495 a year. So big drop for me. I was really happy. I keep hearing that 25 is the magical age for male drivers, so hopefully in 2 years it drops alot more.

My bro on the other hand just turned 21. Drives a 93 hatch, he wrote off my moms car and pays $550 or some rediculous figure. His actually went up 200 per annum. So go figure. Price drops? For some yes.

If anyone is wondering, my record is completly clean and so is my bros other than the one major accident.

I have noticed that if you drive a rice rocket then you pay high insurance but if you drive a truck then you pay low insurance.
