Couple Questions...

So I got 2 tickets the other night in toronto, can I file for trial or guilty with explanation at any courthouse or do I have to mission downtown to file there? cuz if thats the case I'd rather just pay the tickets cuz they are pretty bullsiht ones anyways. Hopefully its possible to file at any courthouse that is closer for me (oakville, mississauga or burlington)

thanks

1. failure to show permit for motor vehicle
2. failure to show insurance for motor vehicle

110bucks and 65bucks respectively

I was driving my company issued car and the documents are photocopied but the permit doesnt have the back photocopied (1 ticket) and the insurance paper which is also photocopied and has all the cars listed on it doesnt have my car listed on it (2nd ticket)....cop told me to file for trial and upon trial just bring in the proper documents and it would be out the window...(goddamn bosses not having proper documents in the car)....but I dont wanna go all the way downtown to file this ****, thats a good half day down the drain

in most cases ur gonna have to go downtown to get it all worked out since the ticket was given by a different jurisdiction or whatever u call it of police....like i got a ticket in burlington and i had to go to court in burlington as opposed to oakville which is closer...they may make exceptions but i can't say for sure...

actually since these are non moving Violations doesn't your boss have to pay them?

I remember driving a company vehicle that didn't have renewed plates and got a ticket company took care of it all.

Ya gotta go downtown. Anything ticketed in the GTA, ya gotta go downtown. It sucks but that's the way it is. I remember when you were able to mail it in for a trial, now you have to go in person.

You can have an 'agent' set up a trial, which can be anybody you like so you might be able to find someone who will do it for you.

any ticket you get if its traffic related (not parking etc) you will have to go to the court's in the area that you were ticketed in.

meaning if you get it in downtown you gotta file it in downtown.
