cooperators

I heard that Cooperators insurance will not insure any Honda Civics as long as it's some what modified.

What I heard was.... even if you change to a super white light bulb, you're dead meat.... any body heard anything about this?

Thats the stupidest rumor...

But if they find out you have aftermarket, non approved lights by the MTO and you hit a curb causing an accident, your screwed.

SiR-Racer 14-Jan-2003 06:12 PM

so why is the rumour stupid if you're agreeing with its validity?? LOL

Maybe we have a misunderstandment

What these terms mean to me

Insure: Not going to provide any insurance services to the customer.

Cover: No backup from the insurance.

Though any insurance has the rights to do anything they want if you sign it, agree it. Even if you to sign one of the stupidest policy, they will enforce it.

I can have section 54(i) of Company Policy which is probably in the middle, "Vehicle will not be covered by ______ Co. if investigations lead to air freshner"

O geeze I have the stupidest ideas lol...

Astroboy 14-Jan-2003 10:54 PM

Are they taking customers again? I know a while back they stopped.

i heard cooperate won't insure any mod. car, this is a story i heard from my friend, he told me his car got stopped the policy right after he told the agent he had mod. his car

diesel 15-Jan-2003 01:12 PM

not mod anything is cool with me i mean from the insurance perspective, but even the light bulbs? wtf....

for audio, I think they only cover up to 1500.... if your audio system is over that you'll have to get an audio insurance.. and anything over 5000, you're screwed.. they won't insure you... that's what I heard. If that's the case.. screw them... er...

what the agent told me is, you can do whatever to the interior of the car, but not exterior. well, of course, don't touch the mechanics too....

that's just so plain out stupid. can't do nothing to the car.....

Street Modier'z Have a Bill Of Rights..

There'z a bill of rights started by SEMA...for ppl who modify there cars....insurance companies shouldn't be racists against mod'ed cars.....check the SEMA website......i think that'z what they are called.....or go to APC'z website....they have a link.....

imported_Team Rukus 20-Jan-2003 10:31 AM

SEMA works wit the american government and believe it or not canada is not part of america:eek:

diesel 20-Jan-2003 11:41 AM

Is there a website about Canada's law for mod cars?

They have the rights to do anything, if you don't like them than you have no choice to switch. You can be not covered in an accident due to modifications, for instance air freshners (allergic reaction, sneeze or really red eyes and your not focused driving and *bam*) or at night, the F1 lights you bought were not approved by the MTO, so the beam pattern it outputs is not safe causing inability to see... stuff like that.
