Civic vs. Focus On Yonge St. / Clark Today!

5:30pm smack dab in the middle of rush hour, bumper to bumper traffic.

Some tard in a black EK Hatch, lowered with upsized rims blasted past me in the RIGHT TURN LANE and tried to cut through the intersection.

Kissed a silver Focus very nicely and tore off the bumper of the Focus.

THAT'S NOT THE GOOD PART. There was a cop RIGHT THERE IN MY LANE a few cars ahead of me who witnessed the whole stupid event!

To the driver:

a) you are a moron for
- speeding in bumper to bumper traffic
- attempting to cut through the intersection from the right turn lane (that is a BUS STOP section you stopped in after hitting the other guy, BTW, not a damn passing lane!)

b) I'm the one who rolled by in the silver EK, honked twice and made eye contact and gave you the "Thumbs up!". It wasn't a positive thumbs up, more like a "Hey nice one, stupid!"

A little bit faster/later and you might have qualified for a Darwin award.

Anyways, I hope you learned your lesson today in regards to driving like a jackass on public roads.

If I have made a mistake on any details, please advise... I was only 8 cars back from the intersection.

this is my area and I can tell you there are a few young punk ******** who think they own the road and its really starting to **** me off. I've had tons of problems with these idiots and it pisses me off the cops are never around to see it.
Guess your guy got lucky but these cops should really start moving from dispersing groups in parking lots to actually keeping traffic safe from these dumbasses

if thats the yonge street southbond there's nothing illegal about what the civic did, I do that all the time during rush hour, I don't speed through or pass the amber tho, just take it EZ and pass the intersection when there's no cars turning. yong southbond becomes officially 3 lanes just north of clarck, there's no sign indicating that the first lane is for "right turn only" or is "buses taxi's only". the focus is equally in fault too if it was making a turn, should've checked all the lanes before turning.

Maybe you're right, I'd have to check again to see if the portion after the intersection is a bus stop area or not...

There was BUMPER TO BUMPER traffic, backed right up to the intersection. This moron was cutting off all the people waiting at the lines to cross the intersection when the traffic ahead moved to make room.

Those people were stopped and yes, the Driver of the Focus was making a left, but there was no way in hell he was going to see this fool at the rate of speed he was travelling. Think about the Zanardi (no disrespect) accident on a much smaller scale.

I hope you're not trying to justify lack of COMMON SENSE and COURTESY. I'm not saying you are, just hoping you're not.

If you can execute such a manouvre without cutting anyone off, staying at or below the speed limit, and using your indicators properly, more power to you - but to be blunt, I highly doubt that is the case.

Common sense would dictate to me that "hey... that lane ends right there. Only a true jerk would use that lane to try to get ahead a few metres instead of going with the flow"

Anyways... I'm going to go use a steel butterknife to clean my household eletrical outlets... because there's no sign that says I shouldn't.

LOL

I once saw a similar incident on Yonge South of John st. A Mazda 3 was goin fairly quick to cut ppl off and then some buick wanted to make a left turn. The buick slowly dipped its nose out n then BOOM. It sorta pisses me off lately seeing ppl drive quick....When i am goin pure speed limit. Some dumb kid in my area w/a G35 wont stop being an idiot on my street. One day i am juss gonna get pissed and while he guns it, I will throw a bag of garbage on the road...
