Ok, a while back (January) i was comming to a stop at Jane and Laurence in toronto and the light was amber so i decided i will not run the amber and slowed down and stopped. The person behind me did not think the same and he tapped my bumper. Now in shock i got out of the car, and proceeded to the rear bumper and the other owner of the other car reversed and left. Luckly for me i had a pen with me and i got his plate and make and model car. There WAS NO MAJOR DAMAGE to my car, just a small scratch on the corner (1" wide and 1/8" in length). After all that i went to the collision center in North York and reported this. I decided NOT TO TELL INSURANCE because there was no claim.

My problem: Today my dad picks up the phone and answers a call from my insurance company. Now the insurance informs my father that i was in a car accident and i should call this person back at the insurance company, im scared...

Now...
A. should i be worried about it?
B. start looking for a lawyer to defend myself in court?
C. Pray that she was just calling to see if i was ok...

Whats your call in my situation or am i just paranoid?

Talk to your dad first. Tell him exactly what happened. Since you are not at fault, you should have nothing to fret about. Chill out, get your story STRAIGHT and tell the old man. Then see what he says...

ok got it settled w. pops, he is ok with it as long as my insurance doesnt go up. so i called insurance today and they just wanted to know what happend. so yes i did get parinoid about it but i guess it worked out.
