i hit a pothole yesterday and blew my $200 tire, i think there might be some other minor damage to my suspension...i heard if u call city hall and tell them, they can pay for ur damage...

is this true, and what procedure would i have to go through?

btw i already took a pic of the hole...there was no warning anywhere...

and what about my insurance? would they pay for anything?

call your insurance company I think they'd know how to handle this...

Yes you can call the city. You will need Pictures of the pothole and the street. They usually have no problem paying damages it just takes the ma while to get the check to you.

i called city hall yesterday, i reported the pothole first of all, and then the damage at the claims department...i wrote them a letter stating when it happened and where, also with a damage report and pictures, so there should be no problem in getting my money.
