Boosting A Motor

I have a couple questions

if u boost ur stock motor and dont tell the insurance wut r the consequences?

if u get pulled over with a boosted motor can cops give u tickets for having ur motor on boost?

i was boosted on a stock d series i was pulled over and my engine was looked at and i had no probs with the cops they checked to see if all my emission hoses were hooked up and my exhaust was functional and i was left alone no probs.

i never informed my insurance so i dont know, but i am no longer boosted

it is illegal if you dont tell your insurance.

a boosted engine is not illegal.. but a few things can make it illegal..

ie. open vent system, exhaust slash, blah blah

my guess is you wouldn't get coverage for liability if they found out (and you didn't tell them)...

obviously they wouldn't cover it for theft if they weren't notified...

its a weird system

you tell them, your rates get spiked, or put in facility, or they drop you

or you dont tell them, something happens, and they dont cover the mods, and drop and put you as high risk.

^ yup, you get the shaft no matter what on insurance. the thing you have to think about is would you rather pay for it now (ie. premiums) or take a risk and pay for it later if something happens (ie. getting dropped from insurance, paying out of your own pocket..)

but with some mods it's also a question as to if they'll even insure you at all.. and this is sort of one of them lol

yea but an ashole cop can pull u over and even if its legal they can call your insurance and then ask if its lagit and if that they cancel your insurance right there so then u are driveing a car with no insurance and u get ****ed 4 it or they just tow the car away

im thinking of boosting my motor il ask my insurance be4 i do and see what the hike wil be
