Boooo Suspended Licenses

Well, last year i got a ticket for driving w/ expired plates (3 days after my birthday)...

I completely forgot about it.. the ticket is probably still in the glove box of my old car.

Anyways, last week I was in Cuba.. i get back to a wonderful MTO letter saying my license is suspended until i pay for..

a) $135.00 for the ticket
b) $100.00 reinstatement fee

and I had to wait 4 days in between both of those payments .. so basically no driving (hah) for a week...

the moral of the story
Pay Your tickets when you get them so you wont forget about them!!!

p.s. anyone know if i will loose any sort of demerit points for expired plates and a suspended license? I dont think so but i'd like to know for sure...

the only thing u have to wait for is for the dam ticket payment to get to the systems......
but after paying ure reinstatment fee, (2-3 days after paying fine) u dont have to wait 4 days to get your license, atleast that was my case.....but im pretty sure u get ure temporary paper license same day u pay the reinstatment!

demerit points wont be taken away from your license!

no demerit points should be deducted because its not a "moving violation", in your case its a parking violation :P
but you should not get demerit poitns deducted.

happened to me a week after i got my Civic..
talk about a ****-off..

btw..the "reminder" they give when re-newing plates and such is only for parking tickets..
wtf is that??
sure i park illegally, don't gimme my sticker..
if i drive like a madman and get 100 speeding tickets, wait 3 years and suspend my license..

government logic = oil + water...it don't mix!!

I've lost my license twice. The second time was for not paying a ticket. It sucks but learn from it and don't forget next time.
