In big trouble, need some help guys.

Hey guys. Well I'm up ****'s creek here. Today I get pulled over on Finch for doing 80 in a 60 zone, not too far from Northveiw Highschool. Thing is, I have no plates on my car, only a trip permit, which expired a while back. I was on the way to the mechanic to get an E-Test so I can register my car. End result was I got a $110 ticket for the lack of plates and expired permit, $190 ticket for doing 80 in a 60 zone, and another bogus $110 ticket for not having my new address on my liscence. On top of all that I got a $20 parking ticket last night downtown hehe. I wanna take this all to court. The parking ticket and plates I'll have to pay, but can I get out of the information on my liscence ticket? Can I get my speeding ticket reduced? I asked the cop if he had me on radar, and he said no that he had paced after me? I'm really upset here, it's my first driving tickets ever, and the speeding ticket is 3 points.

I spoke to my insurance broker and she told me that 3 tickets on my record will mean 30% surcharge next year when I renew my policy, and that if I get it taken down to 2 that it's only a 5% surcharge. On top of all this my insurance company still hasnt sent me my policy or taken any payments out yet but their gonna take out $600 for 2 months real soon. I'm so overwhelmed here. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to the ministry tommorrow morning to change my liscence info and try and get another trip permit to etest my car. If I take this to court, and am waiting for a date, will they not let me register my car?

well hey this is a lesson then to you obey the law and you avoid the crazy up the ass screwing you just got....ohh and the cop doesn't have to have you on radar pacing is fine ...but they rarely do it ...why because most people check their rear views and slow down...

you will get all tickets but the speeding ticket thrown out if you provide reciepts and proof of updated information/plates etc.

worst case scenario, you would pay a very reduced fine

as far as the speeding charge, plea and mention it is your first ticket, and your a student who lives by the day, always worked for me and friends...hehe

you should get out of that scott free too, just make sure its a good sob story :D

g'luck

UPDATE: after all the bullshit my car is finally registered to me, I have plates and a sticker, and am legal. The ministry was giving me false information the whole damn time. I didn't even need an E-test. My car is good till summer of 2004, which I tried telling them. In the end, it took 2 minutes and cost me $110 for my plates, that's it. I didn't even have to pay tax on the car.

With regard to my tickets. I went today and filed to have a first meeting appeal thing. I guess if I don't get it all resolved there, than I can take it to court and fight it? I want to have the liscence information ticket thrown out (had it changed the next day), and the driving on expired trip permit thorwn out ( was given wrong information and was driving to get an e-test which I didn't need). I know I'll get stuck with the speeding ticket, but I want to have it reduced to 15 over instead of 20, so there's no points and a lesser fine. What do you think my chances are, if the cop does show? BTW, I asked him and he said he usually shows up for court.

"I asked him and he said he usually shows up for court."

LOL ahhaah, dont ask the cop that kind of questions, hehe. I think u'll be okay in court considering these are your first tickets ??? Just give them the poor student have to pay for school bullshit and ur pretty much out of it.

good luck
