Anyone know a good body shop?

Well, it's been a while since I've been around or at a meet up. My car was t-boned the day after my birthday last year and I've been driving around in my shitty Kia rental since then.

On Saturday, I got my car back. 52 hours later, some ******* driver turned into me on Kennedy and Bonis. Now I have to get it towed to another shop for repairs and estimates. Any ideas?

As a side note, a fractured rib is a bitch. Damn doctors wouldn't give me any real pain killers, just Advil.

If his insurance is covering just ask the insurance company where you can take it ....

If the owner of the car is paying , maybe you can tell us where you live so we can maybe recomend shops close to your area

You will need to replace the bumper for sure , but there may be more damage done to the suspension and whatever is behing the bumper. If it is not your fault i would highly recommend going through insurance in your case, as any good shop would probably charge you more than the other guy will be willing to pay , furthermore if you have a fracture rib then that is another reason to go through insurance

Plus if you go to a shop recomended by the insurance , they will warranty their work

good luck!

Thanks for the response. It's definitely going through his insurance. An officer filed a report on the scene declaring it 100% his fault and also issued a ticket for dangerous driving.

I called State Farm to open a claim when I got home from being discharged from the hospital. My initial instinct is to take it by Action Honda since I've had body work done there before, but this time it could be mechanical so I wanted to make sure whoever is working on it is superb.

Any shop in the areas between Scarborough and Oshawa would work for me.

It is actually still going throught your insurance , as your insurance will pay for your damages and his insurance will pay for his ... However it wont affect your rates

Keep this in mind though , if you decide to bring it to a shop that is not recomended ( or partner with your insurance) , they will NOT guarantee the work , meaning if the shop you decided to take it to , does a crappy job then you are on your own.

In the other hand , if you ask your insurance company what shops they can recomend you to take it in, then your insurance company will guarantee their work.

Thanks for the help everyone. I ended up taking rick and missjess' advice and just had it towed to Formula Honda. They're a partner shop and near-by, it just makes things easier.

Glad to hear you found a shop.

Fingers crossed you have some better luck then the past little while

I have no real experience with Formula Honda, but they are a partner with State Farm so there has to be some minimum quality threshold they adhere to. It was pretty damn annoying trying to chase down the tow company to get them to release the car.

That's all over with though and I should get my rental tomorrow. Fingers crossed that it's not another Kia Rio.
