Question Another Insurance question

I'm not sure if this was covered in another post (couldn't find anything). Ok heres the situation I've just moved back to my parents place. I have my own car and own insurance. My parents have their own cars and insurance. Do they have to declare me as an occasional driver under their insurance for me to be coved?

To be covered under what? Are you driving their car as well?

If he wants to drive their car., all they have to do is give him permission, you don't NEED to be added, especially if you have your own policy and vehicle

The way things are with Ins these days, your parents ins will probably go up because you live there. You don't have to be declared as an occasional driver.
My gf's parents are going through this right now with her bro. Ins comp says that as long as he lives there, there is a chance that he could just drive the car. Whether or not he is on their ins, doesn't seem to matter. As screwed up as that may seem, that's the way some if not all companies are doing business these days.
As a matter of fact, I believe my ins is going to be going up soon, because my 20yr old girlfriend lives with me.
