Another damn ticket
God Damn!..This time it wasn't for speeding just a noise one but the thing is I was at creditview/britannia tim hortons parking and well I was in first gear and gunned it...I didn't even notice the cop on the left hand side and he rolled up and started giving me hell but I said "yah I know im in the wrong" and he just brb's me with a ticket....He didn't/couldn't give me a hta ticket so I was given a Municipality of Mississauga ticket
Did comment the offence of: Causing a nose to liekly disturb the inhabitants
Contrary to: Noisance type noise by-law
Now from what i've been told is that you are not able to get a ticket of any kind on private property...well vehicle related that is lol..Now I don't know wether I should be fighting this ticket or pay it up?...Suggestions nig@as?

Most HTA tickets can only be issued for offences commited on a publick street or highway.
City bylaw tickets are different. Noise bylaw tickets can be issued anywhere even when a vehicle is involved. You can get it for sqealing tires, having your stereo too loud, even for yelling out the window of your car while in a Timmies parking lot.
Having said that, it doesn't take a whole lot of driver talent or vehicle performance to do a first-gear tire squeal. All it really takes is a moderate dose of stupidity or immaturity. So which was it for you?

No easy way to fight it. The threshhold of proof required for bylaw offences is even lower than that required for HTA offences.

wait, what time was it at? I dont know about sauga, but where I live theres only noise bylaws after a certain hour, on private property. The noise you created would have had to be quite loud to get one during the day. I dont know, just my opinion, you could look into that, or just pay it.

The operation of a motor vehicle at a speed and in a manner which causes its tires to squeal.
