accident ticket

I got into an accident yesterday on the dvp.. .. it was my fault since i rear ended a van and my front end got smashed up..

the cop gave me a ticket of "careness driving"

the cop spelled "careless" wrong..

is there anything i could do? i'm going to get a x-copper to fight for me but if they are going to use that excuse of spelling mistake, i rather do it myself in court..

my car is at formula honda and scott gave me a quote of $5200 .. my insurance wouldn't be happy..

Hey you can fight the ticket and even if u win insurance still will call it your fault and insurance is still gonna go high. Believe me i know my dad did a left hand tunr into a building wit the accord and the guy gave way then some next man came outta no where and smashed him well he got a ticket for careless driving and he fought and won the ticket but insurance said that doesnt matter because he was still at fault.

So i asked them if we won the case that means we arent at fault then all they said was "insurance rules are different from traffic crap"

If i were you i wouldn't go thru insurance
let the other party go thru insurance and dont claim medical for yourself and dont clai for repairs on your car either.
that way the claims will be minimal and only set to the other party.
Then fix the vehicle up yourself at another shop for cheap because honda charges HELL OF A ALOT OF MONEY.
you can probably fix the entire thing for 2g's

basically its like this
watever the amount honda says divide that by2 and then you will get the REAL amount of how much it would cost.

THink about it
they asked me 3000 dollars to paint a bumper, replace a headlight, replace a fender, and "adjust" the rebar.

but guess what i went and picked up a oem bumper brand spanking new for 80 bucks plus projector headlights (two of them) plus fixed my fender (because its so small of a damage) all four 4 hundred dollars.

btw.. i have been reading some posted and they said the officer actually check the breaking lights of the other car..

is that a required procedure?? cause this cop didn't..

and i can't recalled if that van breaking lights were on or not..

what if i said that van breaking lights were not on in court?? they can't prove that it was working or not working anymore..
