2 demerit points
i had a 3 demerit point hov ticket, got it brought down to 2 demerit points.
I was just wondering would i still get screwed by the insurance company. no previous tickets or anything like that. + my dad is primary under insurace and I'm only occasional. so do the insurance companies take this as a big deal? thx in advance |

They care about convictions regardless of points assessed or not. A 0 point ticket is as good as a 6 point ticket as far as the potential effect of your ticket on your father's insurance rates. |
I doubt it.
Driving in HOV lane isn't doing anything wreckless, etc. It will probably be like getting a speeding ticket for 15 over. Barely does anything if at all (in my experience anyway). What kills your insurance the most ticket wise are things like excessive speed, dangerous driving, etc. The other killers are claims from accidents. |
It is my understanding that demerit points are given to any 'moving violations'.
