its probably just another false promise by our beloved MP's anyways... cause this will be a hard lesson for insurance companies to understand... the whole concept of not being thieves...

what i would rather see is... say the government get 10 complaints about there insurance being jacked for no apparent reason... they must provide proof as well of course... well in which case the police would arrest the manager incharge of that area.... send them to trial and see if they can justify why someone like my who's 48 years old is told he has to pay 3500 a year of a ford windstar

then for profits for the government they could tape the entire court process... arrests, trial, sentencing and maybe have follow ups on the guy/girls that end up in jail.... i for one would support that show.... if you make them look like fools for us all i bet they would stop acting like them behind closed doors

if you get caught driving without insurance you get a $5000 ticket...

if not for that i would probably not have insurance right now... i'd have a swap and suspension done to if i hadn't had insurance for the last 2 years

'Fines for driving without insurance

People who are convicted of driving their vehicle without insurance will face significantly higher fines.

For a first conviction, the minimum fine will be $5,000 and the maximum will be $25,000. For each subsequent conviction, the minimum fine will be $10,000 and the maximum will be $50,000.

Previously, the fine for driving without insurance ranged from $500 to $2,500. In many cases, the existing fines were less than the cost of insurance.'

Holy ****! It used to be 500. Up to 25000 now!!! And still 1 in 8 drive without insurance. Just shows you how bad the rates are when twits risk 25Gs.

Actually there won't be a decrease at all. In fact you can expect an increase of about 5% in the next quarter. Stop reading the Sun!

It's the nature of the beast that cars will get into accidents (more so in this Province!). Knowing that, and with the huge premiums everybody pays (I think 300/month is the max anybody should pay for a mainstream car), people should be treated with respect.

For a $3600/annual investment with a very good chance of a return, most businesses would be fawning over their clients. I think that is what pisses me off the most about this situation. Banks and oil companies are the same. Yep, priviledged industries. If you are such a corporation, you have a moral obligation to treat people with decency and respect...

p.s. If the companies get the paralegals, adjusters, tow truck drivers and body shops in order, they may not cry poverty so often. Twerps!
Ya, cause insurance companies can regulate tow trucks, body shops, and paralegals ....I swear, some of the things you say are right on the money, and then you spew crap like this where insurance companies have no control over these area's of business ....

I think the do have control over the body shops and tow trunks and paralegals... basically when they have to call out a tow trunk for someone they tell the towing company we'll give you this much cash you don't like it we'll call your competitors. same with body shops .... we'll give you this much cash for the job what you don't like it??? we'll go somewhere else...

I think if insurance comapnies thought about it hard enough they can easily reduce costs.... especially if they keep their asses out of the stock market I mean they are getting paid money that they will most likely have to use for paying out claims you don't go a put it in a risky investment

Ah, just the nature of genius...

BTW, my 'spew' was paraphrased from The Globe and Mail....another type of 'spew', I guess...

BTW, you misquoted me...

I said 'in order' you say 'regulate'...

Subtle, but important, difference...

Ah, but I fear you have difficulty with subtlety...

Jason, I'll try and find the article on which my 'crap spew' was based. You'd think with the 'spiralling' costs, it would be in the insurance companies (and their bitches) best interests to have their 'complete' house 'in order' before the new Liberal Government 'regulates' it...

I always figured you for Tory

Nothing sadder than a working class Blue

Or, are you NDP? Yeah, that's it. To hell with employers and a 'lets have gay marriage' proponent...
