*^%&%#@%#&^$(*!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well today i was kinda rear ended!!! here is the story so tell me what you think!!!

I was at a gas bar and i was all done and ready to pull back out on to the road. i get to the entrance/exit and look left then right. Approaching from the right was a 5 tonn truck that wanted to get into the gas bar. I noticed that it would be a little easier for him if i backed up a little and give him more room. i put my car in reverse looked behind me over my left and right shoulder and proceeded to move back, it was all clear. Next thing i know i hear a crunch and i look over my left shoulder and this guy had pulled up behind me on an angle which i couldnt see while i was backing up because i was looking over my right shoulder. The driver of the truck got out and said that while i was backing this guy pulled up and must have not seen my back up lights. The car pulled up right behind me on an angle!!! now the only thing we are not sure of (the truck driver and i) is if the other car was stopped or not, whether i drove into him or we drove into each other. I was barely moving maybe 2 kph. My whole bumper is FCUKED and he has a scratch and a crack on his front bumper (1990-1993 accord).

So we exchanged information. and while i am copying down his insurance i notice that it is expired!!!!

Anyways i will prolly be found at fault. which i guess is cool. But here are some pics. At least it didnt happen on friday i guess.

Hey anyone of you Parkway guys if you have any input on how much a new bumper painted would be. please feel free to leave input or pm me if you think that is better!!!!!!!!

AT LEAST IT WASN'T A POLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yo that sucks... i would call him and just come to an agreement were you both pay (thats what i had to do) becuase You were doing somebody a favor and if he cant see your reverse lights.. i think theres something wrong with him. Did you ask the person why his insurance is expried?

well i hope no one takes offence to this but the gentalmen was from a middle eastern country and when i showed him that his insurance was expired he kinda got a little pissed so i couldnt really understand him. but i will let the insurance people fight it out.

oh Mike, Im soooooo sorry to hear about this, it sucks, I would definately call the insurance, explain that your not sure if you both were moving or not, it may be 50/50 and not totally your fault.... thats why people should'nt get so close to others! I would especially point out the fact that his insurance was expired... so sorry...

if his license plate wasn't up to date for real, then he's at fault, because they just assume if he hadn't been breaking the law to begin with, the accident would have never happened.... therefore, his fault.

its very likely he ran into you

if i'm in your blind spot and you're reversing... i would honk you... one reason i won't honk is coz i'm moving or i purposely want you to hit me... as well as, he's driving w/o insurance (expired)... could've easily call the cops.. plus gas bars should have tapes on camera and plus the truck driver is on your side coz you're nice to him in the first place...

i don't see how you should be at fault or anything... i hope things work out in total favor for you.. keep us posted
