West End Coilover Installer - 04 ep3

Picked up some coil overs for my ride, can anyone recommend an installer in the Burlington/Hamilton area?

I met some members that install in September in here in Burlington. Drop me a line.

Diy, or if you are not confident enough, I'd be willing to do it.

Its a simple job look on Honda-tech for DIY or instructions, Save yourself some cash, learn something, and be 100% sure it's done right. It's hard to find a trust worthy/knowledgable mechanic now a days.

my shop is in oakville, it takes me 20-25 minutes to get there from my house in the east end of Hamilton.

I am more than willing and capable of doing this for you at my shop.

It wasn't a simple job. One of his rear bolts (like on every other honda) was seized. We had to demolish the bushing, heat the metal sleeve red hot and put vise grips on the damn thing before it would even budge.

riiiiiiiiiight.....the shock doesn't even attach to the lower control arm on the EP3's.

See this is why you'd want to go to a qualified shop as opposed to some guy doing it in his garage, who's never done a job like this before.

are you sure about that? :P

i had to do the same **** on my ep3.

it doesnt go OVER the lca like the egs/eks, but it goes between the lca portion and has a nut welded on the one side.

so you dont nuke a bushing on the lca, you nuke it on the strut itself....

on a side note, it's good to hear your shop is still up! will need your help in the very short future

its attached to the trailing arm, the control arm only goes from the trailing arm to the body of the car on EP3's (you know this you have one).

why take the shocks off when you can drop the whole assembly and not ruin the bushings on the stock shocks!!! When its dropped, you should be able to remove the pillow mounts and insert the coilovers. He said just the coilovers he wants to install and not the full coilovers. I've done this job a million times now and it should take you 2 hours to do front and back. Thats if youre experienced. hehehehe. goodluck.

I forgot one more thing, do not remove the trailing arm completely, leave the part where you adjust the alignment so you don't have to get it aligned after installing the coilovers. Just remove the bolts on the swaybars, control arms, top pillow mounts, and the two bolts under the trailing arm bushing. Everything should hang once you have taken the bolts off. and just slide the coilovers and put everything back together. goodluck.

it was a full coilover kit with front camber adjusting bolts and rear camber kit, he took it over to honda for a full alignment right after.
