So basically in my 93 hatch, my steering wheel feels loose eg.. if i put my hands at ten and two, or twelve and six (whatever) and pull with one arm and push with the other i get play. The play is probably close to and inch or so.
What can i do??

depending on how it feels (is the play loose or is there resistance to the play?) it could be tie rod ends, rack bushings, rack itself, or u-joints in the steering shaft.

or do you mean there is actual play in the wheel/column itself?

so for the long reply, but it is play in the steering wheel/column itself and it is loose.. any help?

how do you know its in the column itself? this is not very common on any honda.
