Squeak Noise from rear of car

I have a squeaking noise coming from the rear of the car. Usually happens when I go over bumps but does not happen every time I go over bumps. Sounds like its coming from the rear doors / Rear tires. I have a 1997 civic lx.
Any idea of what it could be? How to fix it? And how much its going to cost to fix it? Any help would be appreciated.

^bump the mouse.. you'd probably want to lay out some cheese..

or it could be the rear struts being old and squeeky

Could be anything honestly.

Most likely it's strut related though, weither it be the bushing or the actual shock.

Check around your rear shocks and see if they are leaking at all.

easiest thing to do is: look under the car where the strut attaches to the lower control arm. it looks like an "n" well in between there, there is a bushing, if it looks worn and squished, thats your problem, if not then look for leaks...unless its gas shock.
also push down on the rear corner[which ever squeeks] and see how much the car waves up and down.

I had the same noise last week. It happened after I hit this really bad pothole. I noticed a squeak everytime I went over a crack or something. It was coming from the back. Then I was driving a few hours later and I stopped hearing it. Any ideas?

The car doesnt seem to overly bounce or anything like that. And its on both sides so more than likely just old worn bushings? Ill take a look later and post some pics.

its most likely the trailing arm bushings. the ones in the front of the trailing arm. Check and see if it is cracked or ripped. Changed a bunch of them on customers cars. Noise whet away.

Its a little hard to tell by the picture but thats the bushing in there correct? Because if so they all seem pretty worn out to me. Some of them look cracked / torn.

IMO all bushings of that age will be ripped or torn. But if they are the source of your creek is another question.

To answer your question, that bushing needs to be replaced, HOWEVER, it may not be causing the creek.

Well I don't have a copy of the sent PM anymore, as it was a week or so ago.

However, if you would like, bring it by the shop.. I'll tell you exactly what you need to replace, and what your best options are to fix the vehicle. And we can go from there.

I'm at 1064 Industry Rd. Oakville. You will have to call either myself or zeeman first to make an appt.
