Question regarding lowering my car !
Hey guys,
Recently picked up a 91 Honda Civic CX HB and going to pick up some new shocks/struts & lowering springs as well with a set of GSR blades. The car will be daily driven so I'll only be lowering it say 1.5" so my question is what tire size would I need so that it won't rub when I hit bumps or when I do a full turn.
Sorry for the noob question, any input would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance !

Well the suspension section is filled with the same questions.
Either way...at 1.5" drop you won't have a problem with any tire size on 15s. Though tire size should be proportional to the oem spec. Use a tire size calculator, but I'm sure 195/55r15 or 205/50r15 would be about right. Reason to get the right size tire is to make sure the speedo reads accurately. Lurk around other threads you'll get the idea.
I'm dropped well over 2"s and I do not rub unless I have a passenger when U-turning. And my front wheels are tucking

i'm also dropped over 2 inches, and roll on 15's (blades none the less) and the only reason i rub when turning is because of my poor drivers side bumper alignment, otherwise i would be rub free. the tires i have on my blades are 185/65r15's which i believe is closest to the oem spec, use this calculator to verify your spedo will be accurate

yeah, dropping it only 1.5" won't make any difference if you're gonna run 15s with reasonably sized tires. you're only going to run into problems when you're slamming it well over 2" and even then its more of a problem of getting over speed bumps and scraping your underbody over everything, the rubbing can be fixed by rolling your fenders.
