Please help! Koni yellow's, can I flip the spring perch..?
I searched Google, koni's site, and multiple forums and couldn't find an answer on this...
I just put a set of koni yellow's on my eg hatch with neuspeed race springs and the front is just too damn low! (OEM mudflaps are 1-3/4" off the ground!) The thing I am wondering is if I can flip the spring perch around to get the ride height up about an inch-ish?
-Has anyone done this?
-Have you had any problems with the spring staying seated on the perch with it upside down?
For those of you that are more visual I will try to get some pics up soon of what I am trying to say if you don't get it...?

\/\/\/\/ * Not my pic but this will give you an idea, the perch is only about 1" in total height and I have my clip on the middle setting, I know I would get just a bit more height if I flipped the perch over but then the spring only has the the indented portion to hold it in place as apposed to the raised center section of the perch as well. Hmm....

Put your clip on the top setting to give you more ride height and see if that helps.
What's the spring rate on those springs? Make sure they are stiff enough to prevent you from slamming the car into the ground if you hit a nice dip in the road.

OP: because you don't have ride height adjustable threaded collar perches, I would suggest helper springs in the front. They won't affect the spring rate since they fully compressonce the weight of the vehicle is sitting on them. They'll give about an inch more height depending on how big the helper is. You only need a small one.
The other option is to install a solid spacer at the top perch. Make sure the spacer has an inner or outter lip to keep the spring centered and in position.

I was thinking about the spacer but I havent seen many of those around, so I guess I will just keep my eyes out for one. And as for the "helper spring" any idea where I might be able to get some of those..?
thanks for the responses!
